VANCOUVER - The B.C. Lions honoured the memory of Bob Ackles in a way he would have appreciated, with a 27-18 comeback victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The Lions needed a 48-yard touchdown pass from Jarious Jackson to Geroy Simon to take a 21-18 lead in the fourth quarter.

It was the only touchdown of the game for the Lions' offence.

B.C. got its other major off a Korey Banks interception.

It's the Lions' second win in eight days over the Bombers as B.C. evened its record at 2-2.

Winnipeg drops to 0-and-4.

Romby Bryant staked the Blue Bombers to a 7-0 lead when he hooked up with quarterback Kevin Glenn for an 81-yard TD.

Cam Hall had given Winnipeg an 18-11 lead in the third quarter when he returned a Jackson pass 22 yards to the end zone.

A tribute to Ackles, 69, the club's iconic president who died suddenly this month, was held after the game.

It was the Lions' first home date since his July 6th heart attack.
