Inspectors are looking over a 747 cargo plane that was forced to make an emergency landing in Winnipeg Friday night.

Richardson Airport officials tell CTV News the plane was going from Anchorage Alaska to New York when a fire indicator light went on.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. The Cathay Pacific plane landed in Winnipeg without incident.

Fire crews were on stand-by; but there was no fire on the plane.

There were three crew members on board.

The plane stayed in Winnipeg overnight. Cathay Pacific officials are waiting for the results of the inspection before deciding when the plane can depart.
