A murder investigation has brought the RCMP into the city of Winnipeg.

Neighbours say a house on Prince Rupert Avenue in East Kildonan has been roped off since Friday.

Identification officers have been paying particular attention to the garage at the rear of the property.

Police have not said why they are searching the location, but it is believed to have to do with the homicide of Chad Davis.

Davis's body was found stuffed in a barrel and floating in the Lee River in July.

So far no arrests have been made in the case.

RCMP are asking for anyone with information about the death of Chad Davis to call 204-984-6447 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is being done by the Winnipeg RCMP Major Crime Services and members of Lac du Bonnet RCMP.
