It's a Manitoba company that's become famous for its cakes; so famous that the celebrities and the wealthy have them flown all the way to Hollywood.

Now Lilyfield cakes is about to make its plunge into the high stakes world of American politics.

The famous cakes complete with their decorative boxes are headed for Washington for the biggest social event of the year, the swearing in of President elect Barrack Obama.

Lilyfield founder Heather Stewart says the secret to her success is the personal touch.

"I think that's what makes the difference. There's no automation involved," said Stewart.

Stewart started the company from her home seven years ago.

It didn't take long before some of Hollywood's top celebrities were knocking on her door.

"Halle Berry orders often," said Stewart.

Now hitting the political circuit is something new for Lilyfield, but the company has been rocking.

"I just went to Los Angeles and did the Gene Simmons Family Jewels Show," said Stewart.

The Obama inauguration is a little bigger as Lilyfield will be sending hundreds of cakes for the event.
