It seems a lot of Winnipeggers want to hit the links.
New figures released Friday by the City of Winnipeg show the most asked-about city service on the 311 line is golf tee times.
The city has logged more than 6,000 requests for bookings at city-run golf courses.
The second-most requested service is payment for tickets.
When it comes to information requests, the schedule for Winnipeg Transit tops the list.
The city has received more than 117,000 inquiries about bus times and routes.
In all, 950,818 inquiries were made to the 311 service from its inception in January to June 30, 2009.
Top five most frequent requests for city services:
- Golf tee time bookings (6,092 service requests)
- Parking/ticket payment (3,587 service requests)
- Neighbourhood Livability complaints (3,267 service requests)
- Recreation & Leisure registration (3,219 service requests)
- Requests for bulky pick up/autobin (2,578 service requests)
Top five most frequent information requests:
- Transit: bus schedule (117,669 inquiries)
- Assessment & Tax (15,020 inquiries)
- Recreation and Leisure (10,038 inquiries)
- Water services (8,632 inquiries)
- Street maintenance (8,288 inquiries)
