An 18-year-old man has died following a crash on Higgins Avenue, said police.

Police say the car slammed into a hydro pole on Higgins, between Maple Street and Waterfront Drive shortly after 3 a.m.

A 23-year-old male was also in the vehicle and is in stable condition.

Police continue to investigate.
