Winnipeg police believe the same suspect may be responsible for two separate attacks on women in the city's downtown last week.
Officers say on Oct. 26 a 33-year-old woman was struck in the lower body by a suspect while she exited a building in the 300 block of Graham Avenue. She did not require medical attention, said police.
On Oct. 29, a 30-year-old woman was physically and sexually assaulted by a suspect while leaving a building in the 200 block of Hargrave Street, said police. The woman screamed for help and the suspect fled.
The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, about 14 to 16-years-old, about five feet three inches (161 cm) to five feet six inches (170 cm) in height, weighing approximately 130 to 140 pounds (58 to 63 kilograms) with a thin build and short dark, cropped hair.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to call investigators at 986-8430, or Crime Stoppers at 786-8477.
Because of the close proximity of the assaults last week within the downtown, police are reminding the public to be mindful of their safety and their surroundings at all times.
