Canada's Chief Public Officer of Health, Dr. David Butler-Jones, says the impact of the H1N1 outbreak is not lessening.
"We expect to hear of more illnesses and deaths in the coming weeks as we go further into the second wave," he said.
Health officials have confirmed that four deaths in Alberta have been linked to H1N1. Three of those victims had pre-existing health conditions.
Three more people in London, Ontario also died as a result of contracting the virus. A two-month-old baby boy is among that group. He was deemed ineligible for the vaccine because he was too young, according to officials.
