The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority says all 12 of its clinics are reporting shorter wait times Thursday than in previous days.
The WRHA encourages anyone in the priority group who wants an H1N1 shot to visit one of its clinics. Information is available on its website.
Those in the priority group include:
- Children aged six months to under five-years-old;
- Anyone of aboriginal ancestry;
- Disadvantaged individuals;
- People living in remote or isolated areas;
- People under 65 with a chronic medical condition or other risks including severe obesity, substance abuse or alcoholism;
- Anyone with a weakened immune system;
- Those who live with or care for infants under six months old;
- Single parents or anyone solely responsible for a dependent;
- Health care workers and medical first responders; and
- Pregnant women.
Since opening on Oct. 26, the clinics have vaccinated more than 84,000 people, says the WRHA.
