More than 700 people filled a hall in North Dakota for a memorial service for three young classmates who lost their lives on Sunday.
The women's jeep plunged into a pond in a field near Dickinson, North Dakota. The bodies of Ashley Neufeld, 21, and two friends were later found at the bottom of the pond.
At the memorial for the three women held Thursday, the president for Dickinson State University spoke of people across Canada and the U.S. sending messages of support.
Neufeld's parents Bev and Phil Neufeld also addressed the crowd during the emotional event.
Bev Neufeld told her daughter's softball teammates that Ashley will be their "angel in the outfield."
Ashley's family also plans to bring her home for burial in Brandon.
