Officers say charges have been laid against a Winnipeg store for selling mouthwash and hairspray as intoxicating substances.
Police used a search warrant on Oct. 29 and seized mouthwash and hairspray from the business.
Officers laid Liquor Control Act charges against the store for selling the substances as intoxicants. Police did not release the name of the store or its location.
CTV News learned the store is located on St. Matthews Avenue.
One of the owners told CTV News she had sold the items to people, but didn't know they were being used by people.
A 61-year-old male and a 52-year-old female were released on a summons.
Police warn the public that consumption of the products is extremely dangerous and can be fatal in large quantities.
