Police surrounded the Sears Store at Polo Park Shopping Centre in search of a gunman on Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to the area around 4 p.m. after Sears security spotted a man armed with a gun entering the store.

Ten police cruisers circled the mall as officers tried to locate the man inside.

The suspect was spotted in the food court and apprehended. A pellet gun was seized after a police search.

A 15-year old is facing charges of possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and carrying a concealed weapon.

The suspect was released from police custody on a promise to appear.
