Police uncovered 20 grams of marijuana and $200 in cash in a drug bust at the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School on Friday at around noon.
The seizures were part of a week long police investigation into drug trafficking at the school.
Police say school administrators and area residents have been concerned about the prevalence of drugs in the community.
Two students were also arrested as part of the investigation. A 16-year-old Selkrisk youth is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. This person has been released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in the Selkirk court on January 8.
A second 16-year-old east Selkirk youth is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled for the purpose of trafficking and is also scheduled to appear at the Selkirk court on January 8. They have been released on a promise to appear.
