Police have charged two suspects with second-degree murder for the beating death of a 36-year-old man on Roseau River First Nation last week.
Officers arrested and charged Anastasia Alexander, 19, and Rennie Scott, 20, both from Roseau River, in connection with the death.
RCMP and the Dakota Ojibway Police Service investigated the homicide after a man was found deceased in the community on Nov. 20. Police say an autopsy showed Sheldon George Atkinson, 36, died from blunt force trauma.
