A 29-year-old woman was allegedly physically assaulted during a home invasion on Saturday, said Winnipeg police.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, officers were called about a report of a robbery at a residence. Three male suspects had knocked on the door of a home in the 700 block of Alexander Avenue. The suspects, who were armed with a knife and another sharp object, forced their way into the home and demanded cash, said police.

The 29-year-old victim was assaulted by two of the suspects, who fled with an undisclosed amount of personal property, said police.

The victim ran from the residence and called officers. She did not require medical attention for her injuries.

The suspects are described as aboriginal in appearance, in their early twenties and wearing dark clothing. Two of the suspects have thin builds, while the third has a medium build.
