More than 300 protestors lined the streets of Winnipeg to let their feelings be known about Prime Minister Stephen Harper's decision to prorogue Parliament.
The gathering in Winnipeg is just one of thousands being held across the country on the national day of action.
A rally held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa attracted around 3,500 people.
The local group met at the University of Winnipeg on Saturday, and say they want Harper to resume Parliament as scheduled on Monday.
"When he walked out on December 30th and said Canadians wouldn't care I hope he realizes he's wrong, that Canadians obviously do care," says one of the participants.
The group marched to the legislature, held a rally and then marched back to the university.
More than 200,000 people have signed up for an anti-proroguing site on Facebook.
