A 68-year-old man from the RM of Dufferin is dead, and his son is facing charges, after the truck they were riding in rolled over at about 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

RCMP officers said the only vehicle involved in the crash was the 2008 Ford truck, and alcohol and speed are considered factors in the accident.

The man who died was the passenger in the vehicle and his son, a 37-year-old man from Winnipeg, was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, police said.

An investigation revealed that the truck had been travelling on a gravel road in wet weather conditions when it slid off the roadway and rolled over.

There were no other passengers, and no other injuries were reported.
