A suspect wanted in connection with the brutal killing of a 34-year-old man has been taken into custody.

Terry Junior Davis, 31, turned himself in on July 20. Last week, police had issued a notice of a warrant for the arrest of Davis.

He is charged with manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery for the death Ricky Lathlin, 34.

On April 18, Lathlin, a father of two, was attacked and stabbed at a suite by a group of suspects at the Gilbert Park housing complex in the first 100 block of Gilbert Avenue.

Police said on Wednesday that the incident stemmed from a residential robbery involving five suspects.

In April, police announced three suspects had been arrested. Last week, police released information on the warrants for the arrest of two more men, seeking both Terry Junior Davis and another man, Bradley Campbell, 31, in connection with the same death.

Campbell, of no fixed address, faces charges for second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. He remains at large.

Campbell is considered dangerous and could be armed, said officers. Members of the public are advised not to approach him and are asked to contact police at 986-6508, or Crime Stoppers at 786-8477 if they spot him.
