A second suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a man last month on Oxford House First Nation.

On July 24, officers received a report of a male who had been seriously assaulted and was found along a roadway on the First Nation.

The victim was taken to a local nursing station and was then flown to Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg, but later died from injuries. An autopsy determined the cause of death was blunt-force trauma.

The victim has been identified as Scott Elvis Bradburn, 30, of Oxford House First Nation, said RCMP.

On July 30, RCMP said Jake Bradburn, 18, of Oxford House had been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death. RCMP said the suspect and victim were distant relatives.

On August 9, officers announced a second suspect had been charged.

Michael Bradburn, 21, also faces a charge of manslaughter for the death.
