Winnipeg police officers were kept busy overnight attending to three stabbings, a robbery at gunpoint and a break and enter in which a household of six people were pepper sprayed.

10:34 p.m. The first incident was a stabbing downtown near Vaughan Street and Graham Avenue. A man was stabbed multiple times in his upper body in a botched robbery attempt. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition where he was upgraded to stable condition. Detectives are investigating.

1:52 a.m. A man armed with a handgun entered the Lincoln Motor Hotel on McPhillips Street and robbed the hotel of cash before escaping. No one was injured. The major crimes unit is investigating.

2:05 a.m. Officers were called to the 500 block of Osborne Street, where a 19-year-old was stabbed multiple times during a robbery of a convenience store. She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Officers with the major crimes unit are also investigating this incident.

3:47 a.m. Six people broke into a residence in the 300 block of Salter Street and pepper sprayed the residents, some of whom were young children, and threatened them with further harm before escaping. Four adults, one youth and one infant were taken to the hospital where they were treated for the injuries from the spray, prior to being released. Detectives are investigating.

4:49 a.m. At a residence in the 800 block of College Avenue, a 40-year-old man was stabbed in the back after a fight with a woman he knows. He was transported to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. The female suspect is in police custody.
