A woman was taken to hospital in critical condition on Friday night and later died from her injuries after she was stabbed at about 8:15 in the Centennial neighbourhood.
Officers said two sisters, 18- and 21-years old, got into an argument in a home in the 400 block of William Avenue.
According to the police, the 18-year-old sister confronted her sister with a knife, but she was disarmed.
The 18-year-old sister was then stabbed in the upper body, police said.
Emergency services were called and both sisters were found at the scene.
The 18-year-old victim, Paige Chelsea Moloi-Straightnose, was taken to hospital in critical condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The victim's sister, 21-year-old Nebula Niome Moloi-Straightnose, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
