An ambulance transporting patients was involved in a collision on Highway 3 near Highway 23 on Tuesday after tires dislodged from an oncoming pickup truck and hit the ambulance, said RCMP.

No injuries were reported, however.

Officers were called around 3:45 p.m. to Highway 3, about four miles north of Highway 23, for a report of a collision on Sept. 28.

Two tires on a northbound pickup truck had become loose and dislodged from the vehicle. The tires then rolled and hit an oncoming ambulance, said RCMP. A third vehicle travelling behind the pickup was also damaged.

Traffic in the area was reduced to a single-lane of travel while officers investigated.
