An increase to minimum wage in Manitoba will take effect on Oct. 1, said provincial officials.
The change brings the hourly wage to $9.50 per hour, increasing by 50 cents from the previous rate.
The province previously announced the increase in April.
Provincial officials said the increase will help 28,000 Manitobans and will keep the province close to the middle for minimum-wage rates across the country.
