A 19-year-old man faces a number of charges following a series of robberies in Winnipeg.

Officers were called about a robbery at a convenience store on Oct. 12 around 11 p.m. in the 500 block of Keenleyside Street.

Two suspects had entered the business and demanded cash and cigarettes. One of the suspects was armed with a gun, said police.

Both suspects fled after receiving money and cigarettes.

The next day at around 12:30 p.m., two suspects robbed a 23-year-old male of property and cash in the 100 block of Regent Avenue West, said police.

Around 2 p.m. that same day, two suspects confronted an employee at a City of Winnipeg facility in the 100 block of Wabasha Street. The suspects demanded cash, but fled without receiving anything, said police.

In both robberies on Oct. 13, one of the suspects had a gun, said officers.

Police located a suspect on Oct. 13 and placed him under arrest. An air pistol was also recovered.

Morlai Glenn Kamara, 19, faces multiple charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of robbery, said police.
