A Swan River man faces charges for cruelty to animals after multiple animals had to be seized, said RCMP.
On Nov. 27, officers received a complaint regarding allegations of animal cruelty at a farm in the RM of Swan River.
Following an investigation, RCMP and veterinary officials seized 27 dogs, 15 horses and two donkeys from the property on Dec. 1.
The animals were found to be unhealthy and had been neglected, said RCMP.
A 68-year-old man was arrested. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 5 for charges of cruelty to animals.
