Police busted a "sophisticated" marijuana grow-op in a home in The Maples on Friday afternoon, officers said.

Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Gardenia Bay at about 3:30 p.m. and found the entire home had been converted into a sophisticated marijuana grow operation, police said.

More than 700 marijuana plants with a street value of about $700,000 were discovered. No one was in the home at the time, officers said. No arrests had been made and no charges were laid as of Friday evening.

Police are continuing to investigate.
