Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was attacked and groped in downtown Winnipeg on Wednesday.

CTV News has learned the incident happened in the Portage Place skywalk, near the downtown YMCA-YWCA.

A 28-year-old woman was walking around 2 p.m. when a man started following her.

The suspect grabbed the victim from behind and groped her in the lower body, said police.

The victim screamed and the man fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a male in his twenties, about six feet tall (182 cm), with a slim build, wearing a dark three-quarter-length winter jack with a fur trim hood and camouflage design, a dark baseball cap, baggy denim pants and skateboard-style shoes with tan soles.
