A driver stopped at a red light was targeted by robbers on Sunday morning, said Winnipeg police.

Around 7:25 a.m. on Feb. 13, a 26-year-old man was stopped at a traffic light in the area of Redwood Drive and Arlington Street.

Four suspects approached the vehicle from the front and back of the car. One of the suspects smashed out the rear window and then showed off a can of bear spray, said police.

The suspects then demanded property, including cash, and fled the area after receiving it, said officers.

The victim was not injured.

The first suspect is described as male, aboriginal in appearance, in his early twenties, approximately five feet six inches tall (167 centimetres), with a skinny build, clean shaven and wearing a black baseball cap with white "LA" lettering, a white puffy jacket and carrying what appeared to be bear spray.

The second suspect is described as female, aboriginal in appearance, in her early twenties and wearing dark clothing.

The third and four suspects are described as males, aboriginal in appearance, in their early twenties and wearing dark clothing.
