Winnipeg police are looking for two suspects after a teen was stabbed on Thursday night.

Officers were called around 11:15 p.m. to the area of Young Street and Sargent Avenue.

An 18-year-old male was walking with a friend when he was confronted by two suspects.

The suspects assaulted and stabbed the 18-year-old victim and took his baseball cap, said police.

The teen was taken to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable.

The first suspect is described as a male, in his twenties, with a slight moustache, about six feet tall (182 cm), with a skinny build. The second suspect is described as a white male, in his twenties, about five feet 10 inches tall (177 cm) with a skinny build.
