Police said a fourth teenager has been charged in connection with a fatal stabbing last week in Winnipeg.

Sheila Fontaine, 42, died following the stabbing.

The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on April 20 outside the Merchants Hotel in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Officers said the victim and family members were outside the hotel when a verbal argument took place between the victim and a group of females, leading to the victim being fatally stabbed.

On Tuesday, officers said an 18-year-old female suspect had been charged for manslaughter.

Thursday morning, police said a 17-year-old female and a 13-year-old female have also been arrested and face manslaughter charges.

Thursday night, another 17-year-old female suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, said police.
