NDP incumbent Pat Martin snared the seat in the Winnipeg Centre riding.

On Monday night, unofficial results showed Martin with a lead of almost 5,000 votes over Conservative Bev Pitura.

Martin has been voted in since 1997 in the riding.

The Communist's Darrell Rankin, the Green's Jacqueline Romanow and the Liberal's Allan Wise also ran in the riding.

The Kildonan - St. Paul riding was taken by Conservative incumbent Joy Smith, with roughly 10,000 votes over NDP Rachelle Devine, according to unofficial results.

Smith has held the seat since 2004. Also running were the Green's Alon Weinberg, Independent Eduard Hiebert, Independent Brett Ryall, and Liberal Victor Andres.
