Winnipeg police said a second suspect has been charged in connection with the killing of a delivery driver at a restaurant on the weekend.

Fifty-six-year-old Gerry Crayford died Monday after an incident Sunday morning at a Pizza Hotline in the 1100 block of Concordia Avenue.

Police were called to the restaurant around 2:40 a.m. for a report of a commercial robbery by two male suspects.

Crayford was found injured and rushed to hospital in critical condition, but later died.

It's believed he was attacked with an axe.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, a 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

On Thursday morning, police said Byron Charlie Bushie, 18, of Winnipeg had also been charged with second-degree murder. He remains in custody.
