Police were kept busy this weekend with three unrelated stabbing incidents.

A man was stabbed around 7:45 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue, said police. The 39-year-old had been walking with another man when a male suspect began following them, making verbal threats. The suspect then stabbed the victim in the upper body during a confrontation, said officials.

The victim was sent to hospital in stable condition, police said.

Officials continue to investigate the incident. No arrests have been made.

On Saturday evening around 10:30 p.m., police said they responded to another stabbing incident at a business in the 300 block of Nairn Avenue. Officers said they found a 27-year-old male who had been stabbed and robbed of his beer outside the business.

The victim was sent to hospital in unstable condition but has been upgraded to stable, police said Sunday morning.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, said officials.

Early Sunday morning, emergency teams responded to yet another stabbing incident in the 400 block of Arlington Street around 2:45 a.m.

Police said they found a man in his 20's with injuries consistent with a stabbing. He was sent to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation into this incident is in its early stages and officials said they are interviewing several witnesses.

None of these incidents are believed to be related, said police.
