Officers are investigating multiple stabbing that took place Monday night and into early Tuesday morning in Winnipeg.

Around 11 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the 1300 block of Main Street.

A 49-year-old and a 34-year-old female had been involved in a confrontation with two unknown men.

The 49-year-old victim was assaulted and stabbed in the upper body, said police. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but later upgraded to stable.

Around 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to the area of Sargent Avenue and Sherbrook Street for a report of a woman stabbed.

A 38-year-old victim was located and taken to hospital in unstable condition, before being upgraded to stable.

Police said the victim has not been forthcoming with information.

A little more than an hour later, officers were called to the 200 block of Broadway. A 42-year-old man had been stabbed in the lower body by an unknown male.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police continue to investigate all three stabbings.
