Two male youths face charges in connection with a stabbing incident that sent a 15-year-old male to hospital in critical condition.

Officials said a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were in a park in the Tyndall Park area on July 5 when they were approached by two suspects. An argument between the two groups escalated into the attack, said police.

The 15-year-old victim was sent to hospital in critical condition around 8:40 p.m., but has since been upgraded to stable, said officials.

The two male suspects had turned themselves in on Thursday.

They face charges for aggravated assault and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public peace, said police.
