Police said two suspects have been charged after an Osborne Village business was firebombed Wednesday.
Officers said the incident is related to a gang battle between the Rock Machine and the Hells Angels' Redlined Support Crew.
Police were called to the 187 Ink tattoo shop on Osborne Street around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers said an investigation determined flammable material had been thrown at the business, causing about $2,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.
Two suspects were taken into custody. CTV News has learned the suspects have ties to the Rock Machine and its puppet club, the Vendettas.
"Obviously our goal is to make our streets safer and individuals who are engaged in this activity be forewarned that we are out there and we are actively pursuing any individuals engaged in this activity," said Const. Jason Michalyshen, a spokesperson for Winnipeg police.
Officers confirmed Thursday morning that charges had been laid in connection with the Osborne Village incident.
Taylor Brett Morrison, 23, has been charged with arson – damage to property, possession of an incendiary material and possession of an explosive substance, said police.
Shaine Gerald Stodgell, 33, has been charged with arson – damage to property, and possessing an incendiary material, said police. Officers also said Stodgell faces an arson charge for an incident at a business in the 200 block of St. Mary's Road on July 10.
