Winnipeg police are on the hunt for a lost Taser cartridge, after it was dislodged from an officer's uniform.

The officer was on duty in the St. James and downtown areas of Winnipeg on Tuesday evening when the cartridge went missing.

Police say the cartridge contains probes on wires and could be discharged by static electricity.

Anyone who finds the cartridge should call police right away.

Earlier this week, police announced a Taser cartridge and pouch that were lost over the weekend in the North End had been located.
