Winnipeg police are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 1000 block of Notre Dame Avenue just after 4:30 a.m.
Police say the 20-year-old male victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has been upgraded to stable.
Police said the victim and another man were confronted by three male suspects when walking in the area. A verbal confrontation between the two groups ensued and a gun was shot in the direction of the victim.
Police found the gun nearby.
There are currently no suspects in custody. Police are asking anyone with information to call 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-8744.
