Two teens are in custody after a series of stabbings at multiple locations sent six people to hospital in Winnipeg.

Police said they responded to four separate calls over a three-hour period starting at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers were first called to the 500 block of Sherbrook Street after a 39-year-old man was stabbed in the upper body and robbed. He is listed in stable condition. 

Shortly after 1 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of Balmoral Street. A 51-year-old man had been stabbed. He was sent to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to critical-stable condition, said police.

Later in the same neighbourhood, a 31-year-old man was stabbed after coming to the aid of a woman who was being assaulted, said police. 

Shortly before 2 a.m., emergency crews and officers were called to the 400 block of Agnes Street for a report a 32-year-old man being stabbed. While responding to the 32-year-old victim, another victim was located, a 23-year-old woman, who had also been stabbed. Both victims were taken to hospital in unstable condition and have been upgraded to stable. 

General patrol units located two teenage male suspects in the Ellice Avenue and Beverley Street areas around 2:10 a.m. Thursday and arrested them. 

The teens, age 15 and 17, will be facing a number of serious charges, said police.
