Crews continue battling wildfires in southeastern Manitoba Sunday.

Manitoba Conservation says a combination of lighter winds, cooler temperatures and higher humidity is helping in the battle against the blaze.

160 evacuated residents in the RM of Stuartburn returned home Saturday. 100 people from Lonesand and Caliento north to Zhoda at Highway 12 are still out of their homes, according to Manitoba Conservation.

In the RM of La Broquerie, around 350 people from the village of Marchand were evacuated; the order to evacuate has now been lifted by the municipality.

300 to 400 people in the Sandilands and Woodridge areas continue to be out of their homes.
