WINNIPEG - A Winnipeg woman has been found guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for plotting the death of her ex-husband, a former professional wrestler known as "The Croatian Giant."

Forty-three-year-old Ivan Radocaj was beaten to death inside his Interlake home in September 2007.

Radocaj's ex-wife Melody Sanford admitted to police she had planned his death, claiming he had been abusive toward her daughter from a previous relationship.

However, Sanford's daughter testified last week that Radocaj never laid a hand on her.

Sanford's friend Rita Cushnie and Cushnie's son Donald Richard were also convicted of the same charges.

Radocaj also wrestled in the 1980s under the names "Ivan the Giant" and "Big John Radocaj."
