The unusual warm streak continued for one more day on Tuesday with Winnipeg tying the 5.1 C temperature record for Jan. 10.

The record was set in 1990.

On Jan. 9, a number of Manitoba towns also broke records for daytime highs, while Winnipeg set a new record for daytime highs last week.

Weather specialists said the warm weather is set to change with temperatures dropping over night Tuesday and into Wednesday, plunging to -27 with the windchill. Winds are expected to be gusting up to 60 km/h Wednesday.
