A man from Ontario, who was wanted on a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant, was arrested in Winnipeg, say police.
Gabriel Joseph Koosees was picked up in the 200 block of Carlton Street on Thursday by members of Integrated Warrant Squad.
The 47-year-old, of no fixed address, has been detained.
Police say there have been two warrants out for Koosees arrest by Winnipeg police since 1995 for theft and assault.
Since the beginning of January, the Manitoba Integrated Warrant unit has arrested 63 wanted criminals and 55 remain in custody.
