Police say a man was arrested in Portage Place after officers saw that he was hiding a rifle under his clothing.
Officers say the man was carrying a sawed off rifle and ammunition.
Justin Michael Henderson is now facing several weapons related charges including: breach of firearms regulations, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.
At the time of his arrest, the 23-year-old was under a weapons ban, say police. There was also an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.
Police say Henderson remains in custody.
