The Winnipeg Blue Bombers lent their famous faces to Manitoba dogs in need Sunday.
Manitoba Mutts, Sprockett's Doggy Day Camp and Cvet's Pets teamed up for an adoption fair to find homes for abused and abandoned dogs.
By 4 p.m. eight dogs had been adopted.
"It's usually around ten, I mean anything past thatis great. If we don't get that today, we have more coming up," said Sara Robinson of Manitoba Mutts.
Chris Cvetkovic, Joe Lobendahn, Kito Poblah, Chris Kowalczuk, Chris Greaves and Obby Khan were in attendance and signed autographs for donations to the organization.
The fair had a number of puppies as well as mature dogs available for adoption.
The adoption fair was held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at 7-975 Thomas Avenue.
The dog rescue organization holds the adoption drives monthly to find homes for abused and abandoned dogs.
