A section of Corydon Avenue was closed Thursday after a massive sinkhole developed near Guelph Street.

It started off as a small sinkhole from a caved-in sewer. After repairs were started, the hole got worse.

Corydon was blocked off Wednesday night from Wilton Avenue to Rockwood Street as a result of the massive sinkhole, with re-routes put in place.

The sinkhole is the second in the city in the last 24 hours. On Wednesday night, a massive sinkhole developed on Ingersoll Street off of Ellice Avenue.

No one was injured in either incident, but both holes have caused major traffic interruptions while crews work to repair them.
