It started out as a simple noise complaint and ended with a gun being pointed at police officers.
Just after 11 p.m. Saturday officers were sent to check on a noise complaint in the 100 block of Walnut Street, but when they got there they found a man with what appeared to be a gun, police said.
The tactical support team, canine unit and police helicopter were all called the scene to help the officers.
Just before 1 a.m. officers approached the man on Maryland Street and Westminster Avenue. Police said the man pointed a gun at the officers and then ran.
He was arrested about a block away on Purcell Avenue. Police found a pellet gun on the man.
An 18-year-old male is now facing multiple charges including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
