Police say a 12-year-old boy is facing charges in connection with a vehicle theft Tuesday morning.
Around 3:00 a.m., Officers saw a stolen Chevrolet Silverado being operated in the area of Notre Dame Avene and Keewatin Street, say police.
The driver then took off at a high speed and crashed into a propane tank at a gas station in the 100 block of Keewatin St.
Police say both suspects ran away, but were caught shortly after.
A 12-year-old boy is facing a number of charges including: Motor Vehicle Theft, Possessing a Controlled Drug or Substance, Fail to remain at the Scene of an Accident and Driving without a License.
The 14-year-old male passenger is not facing any charges.
Both boys have been released from custody.
