Fire officials spent about three hours Saturday trying to extinguish a rail car fire in the Pas.
A railway bunkhouse caught fire, and the fire quickly spread to a second car holding railway ties.
Fire crews worked from the ground, and a water bomber was called in to douse the flaming car from above.
RCMP are now investigating the cause of the fire and do not yet have an estimate on the damage caused.
