Winnipeggers joined Canadians across the country Saturday to protest the omnibus budget bill.

Canadians protested at Conservative MP offices in attempt to stop Bill C 38.

Winnipegger demonstrators rallied at MP Joy Smith's (Kildonan – St. Paul) office on Henderson Highway.

The demonstrations, dubbed the Blackmark Day of Action, oppose the bill. Protestors said the bill contains a sweeping agenda to remake Canadian Society.

"If we hold our MPs to account and remind them who put them in power, you know, we're hoping that will encourage them to reconsider the automatic default to toeing the party line," said protestor Victor Andres.

Ralliers hope 13 "hero" Conservative MPs will work together to stop the budget, split it apart and start over.
